Our Story

ORA was created out of frustration. We know that wheelchair users and their families often face significant additional barriers and difficulties when trying to arrange suitable transport, in particular wheelchair accessible vehicles

We decided it was time for a change...

Working alongside the UK’s leading disability agency, we spoke with over 500 wheelchair users and their families to identify what would make accessible vehicle hire more… accessible. For example, we know that refuelling before returning a vehicle can be off-putting. As such, we will refuel the vehicle for you at transparent rates with no hidden costs

…to amplifying the voice of the disabled community. We have a permanent advisory panel made up of disabled people and are proactively recruiting disabled people across all areas of our organisation. We will continue listening and learning
