Join us at Naidex and UK Care Week live at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham

Naidex, the UK’s leading event dedicated to empowering and supporting disabled individuals, is back at the NEC on the 20th and 21st of March 2024, and is bigger and better than ever before. Described by the organisers as the gateway to a world of invaluable support, resources, and inspiration, Naidex is a must-attend event, whether you’re living with a disability, caring for someone who is, or supplying products and services to the community.

The event covers all aspects of the disability journey, making it a truly holistic event, from family dynamics to education, employment opportunities to leisure and lifestyle choices.

Running simultaneously at the NEC is UK Care Week, the event aimed at those working in and supplying to the UK’s care sector. With over 150 exhibitors and a packed agenda of seminars and live demonstrations, UK Care Week is bringing together a host of resources to support the care community and address the challenges.

Hear Open Road Access (ORA) Martyn Sibley and David Dew-Veal speak at Naidex and UK Care Week

We’re delighted to be attending what has become the UK’s foremost convention of the disability community and the care sector, and you can hear how Open Road Access (powered by Proximo) is forging new services and innovations.

Where we'll be

On the 21st March at 11.35 in the Naidex Accessibility hub, you can find out how ORA (powered by Proximo) is breaking down the barriers to accessible travel, with Director of Strategy and Innovation David Dew-Veal and social entrepreneur, and Non-Executive Director Martyn Sibley.

What you'll hear

In a dynamic conversation, they’ll be exploring how removing the barriers to accessible transport would have a major impact on people’s lives and across the economy, and how ORA (powered by Proximo) and Proximo are taking tangible action to deliver real change.

Enhancing Quality of Life for Care Home Residents

Later the same day, David Dew-Veal will be speaking again at the UK Care Week, in the Business, Facilities and Environments Theatre, about how ORA (powered by Proximo) supports care homes and care providers to enhance the lives of their residents with accessible, flexible transport solutions.

Maintaining a sense of independence and community connection outside the care setting, such as attending social events and essential appointments, is vital for the mental health and wellbeing of care home residents. Hear David speak about an innovative new approach to overcoming the logistical challenges.
