Our Internal Transfer WAVs are designed for wheelchair users who prefer to drive from the standard driving seat after transferring from their wheelchair. These vehicles allow you to enter the vehicle in your wheelchair, transfer safely to the driver seat, and store your chair — all without leaving the vehicle

Our Internal Transfer vehicles are based on large, high-roof models like the Ford Transit, adapted by trusted specialists for accessibility and performance. While specifications may vary slightly across the fleet, most of our internal transfer WAVs include:

● Automatic rear doors and powered wheelchair lift

How internal transfer WAVs work
These vehicles are designed so you can:
1. Enter via the automatic lift in your wheelchair, independently or with assistance.
2. Secure your wheelchair within the vehicle.
3. Transfer safely to the driver’s seat using a grab handle or transfer aid.
4. Drive using push/pull hand controls, with the same control and response as standard
pedals.
