How old do I have to be to hire a WAV with Open Road Access?

You, or the person hiring the WAV, need to be at least 18 years old.

A few people want to share the driving – is that ok?

WAV car hire lets you get out and about with friends and family. So it’s no problem if you want a few people to share the driving. We need to know the details of each driver, that’s all – let us know when you book your WAV car rental.

How long does my WAV hire last?

You can hire a WAV for anywhere from 1 day up to 1 year. Some people only need a short-term WAV hire, while others like to hire a WAV for a couple of weeks, or more. We’re as flexible as possible. So, once your WAV car hire period has started, if you then decide you need your WAV for longer, just let us know and we’ll extend the hire period.

I need to cancel my WAV hire – what do I do?

Sometimes things come up, and you have to cancel – that’s ok. Here’s what you need to know:

If you cancel your WAV hire 48 hours or more before we’re due to deliver your vehicle, you’ll get your money back.

If you cancel your WAV hire less than 48 hours before we’re due to deliver your vehicle, you’ll get an Open Road Access credit for the full hire amount. You can use your credit to book a WAV car rental another time.

If you cancel your WAV hire less than 12 hours before we’re due to deliver your vehicle, you’ll get an Open Road Access credit minus a £50 fee that we’ll charge you to cover our costs.
